Nurse Residency Program

The great thing about a residency program is that nurses at any level of experience can apply to work. The goal of the program is to help you get the experience you may be lacking.

To participate, you’ll need an RN license, good references, and a willingness to undergo some extra training to bring you up to speed. The best way to get started is to make sure your résumé includes all your experience and training, and that it clearly states your goals, whether those include working in a new practice area, getting some initial experience after graduation, or easing back into nursing after having been out of clinical practice for a few years. You’ll work with a program recruiter to negotiate a position, length of training, and hourly rate.
