Serving Austin-area patients for more than 30 years, Seton
Shoal Creek offers a wide spectrum of behavioral health services. A highly
qualified team of licensed professionals provides intensive medical and psychiatric
stabilization for patients dealing with issues such as emotional crisis, depression
and drug and alcohol dependence.
The facility treats children, adolescents, adults and senior adults who may
be experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse difficulties. Licensed
staff are also on-call 24 hours a day to address the mental health needs of
patients and their families. The hospital also facilitates a wide range of
support groups, which meet on a regular basis.
Seton Shoal Creek has both inpatient and outpatient programs for children,
adolescents and adults.
Inpatient Treatment includes:
Adult and Senior Adult Psychiatric Programs
These programs use therapeutic, educational, and psychosocial activities to
resolve the patient's crisis and to prepare for recovery on an outpatient
basis. Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Programs
A full range of inpatient services are available for children and adolescents,
ages 3-18 years old, requiring 24-hour supervision, including assessment and
evaluation; family therapy; group therapy, therapeutic recreation; and individual
therapy (as indicated). Inpatient Detoxification Program
The Inpatient Detoxification Program assists patients in their recovery from
chemical dependency, with medical stabilization offered as the primary component
of inpatient detoxification.
Outpatient Treatment includes:
Adult Intensive Outpatient Program
This program is designed for adults who are not an immediate danger to themselves
or others, but who are coping with mental health problems or specific issues. Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program
Designed for the adolescent 12- to 17-year-old, this cognitively-based program
utilizes a twelve-step treatment model for patients with emotional and/or
chemical dependency issues. Outpatient Program-Renaissance Chemical Dependency
This specially designed chemical dependency treatment program is based on
a twelve-step model for recovery that serves adults ages 18 and older. Adult Day Treatment Program
Patients in this program learn new ways of coping and functioning in everyday
life.
