Franklin Square Hospital Center is a 299-bed, full-service, acute and subacute care community teaching hospital located in Eastern Baltimore County. It is the fifth-largest hospital in Baltimore and one of the busiest hospitals in cardiology, emergency medicine, general medicine, obstetrics, and oncology.

Since its founding in 1898, the hospital has been at the forefront of primary care services and advances in medicine, surgery, and specialty care. The oncology specialists are among the finest in the region, and offer a full range of services including genetic risk assessment and performance of oncology clinical trials, research and studies. Franklin Square has been awarded the high-level designation of a Teaching Hospital Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons.

Franklin Square offers a full complement of obstetrical services in the Women's Pavilion, including a birthing facility, infertility assessments, and an urgent care area. Franklin Square also offers a full continuum of pediatric services, including a high-tech Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Franklin Square has one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the state, with observation and treatment, non-urgent care, and pediatrics areas. A center recently opened to treat sleep disorders.

In addition, the hospital provides a full spectrum of care for the family including behavioral health, orthopedics, primary care, psychiatry, and rehabilitation.
