Good Samaritan Hospital of Maryland 5601 Loch Raven BoulevardBaltimore, MD 21239 410-532-4100
Good Samaritan Hospital, founded in 1968 through a gift from the will of local merchant and philanthropist Thomas J. O'Neill, has matured as the preferred community hospital of Northeast Baltimore. With 271 inpatient beds, it is the largest provider of acute inpatient rehabilitative services in the Baltimore area, with specialization in stroke, spinal cord injury, and orthopedics rehabilitation. Affiliated with The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Good Samaritan offers special programs in rehabilitation, orthopedics, and rheumatology. This combination makes Good Samaritan a pioneering force in arthritis treatment and surgery. More Marylanders choose Good Samaritan for their knee and hip replacements than any other hospital. In fact, Good Samaritan has been named one of the top 10 hospitals in the nation for complex knee replacement surgery. In addition, the hospital provides a full spectrum of healthcare including medical, surgical, critical care, transitional care, and emergency services. The Good Health Center hosts free and low-cost diagnostic screens, educational seminars and preventive medicine services. Also located on the hospital campus, the Good Samaritan Nursing Center and Belvedere Green provide long-term care and independent living services for seniors. |
