For nearly a century, Harbor Hospital has grown alongside the communities it serves in Baltimore City and Anne Arundel and Howard counties. First established in 1903 as the South Baltimore Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital, Harbor continues to offer the personal touch of a community hospital with the services of a high technology medical center.

The hospital offers a full range of healthcare services for patients from infancy through old age. It cares for patients with most any medical condition and performs nearly all kinds of surgery and specialty procedures. But most of all, Harbor brings an unusual dedication to healthcare and takes pride in treating every patient as an individual. The hospital's continuum of care includes wellness programs, outpatient services, and inpatient treatment.

Harbor is an acute care teaching hospital with a residency-training program in internal medicine and a transitional program that prepares residents to specialize in other areas. The programs attract the highest caliber of residents. They consistently score in the top 15 percent on their certification exams.

The hospital's facilities are modern, comfortable, and patient-centered. The hospital has carried the concept of patient comfort and convenience through to other new constructions including the Aaron C. Sollod Center, home of Harbor's LifeResource Center and Harbor Family Care, where primary care and community health come together; Harbor Hospital Cancer Center, an outpatient treatment facility facing the river; and Harbor's newly renovated ER.

Harbor Hospital's specialty areas include women's services, cancer care, diabetes care, fetal assessment, cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation, and treatment of chronic lung conditions.
