Prudential Skywalk Observatory and Exhibit

If you thought Boston looked intriguing at ground level, wait until you spy it from Superman's vantage point. Fifty floors high on the Prudential Tower, the Skywalk Observatory reveals a vista from the top of the world-or the top of Boston, at least.

Sailboats on the Charles River, the "Emerald Necklace" parks system, twisting neighborhood streets, and Boston landmarks all are viewable from the 360-degree, 700-foot lookout tower. On a clear day you may not see forever, but you can see as far as New Hampshire's mountains and Cape Cod's beaches.

The floor-to-ceiling windows of the indoor observation deck protect your bird's-eye view from the weather. Museum-like displays reveal trivia about Boston's history, sites, and geography.

Want to go higher? Dine at the 52nd-floor Top of the Hub restaurant, which serves contemporary American cuisine along with an amazing view. And to make a day of your visit, browse the nearly 50 shopping opportunities on the floors below, including Lord & Taylor and Saks Fifth Avenue.
