Mission Hill Farms and most of Boston's breweries first put Mission Hill on the map. Today, the racially and economically diverse neighborhood offers three-deckers and blocks of traditional brick row houses. Much of Mission Hill's limited residential development has centered on public housing projects. Affordable rents draw families as well as students and staff from the nearby Longwood Medical Area, the region's largest hospital complex. But while close to the city, residents must cope with traffic, parking, and pollution challenges.
