After two decades of decline, downtown Durham is undergoing a major revitalization. A sophisticated population of stylish professionals and graduate students are moving into turn-of-the-20th-century tobacco factories, which have been transformed into unique apartments, cool shops, trendy eateries, and cutting-edge office and laboratory space, many with high ceilings, hardwood floors, and expansive windows.

Catch a baseball game at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, indulge your palate at one of the award-winning restaurants, savor fresh produce from the Durham Farmer's Market, or enjoy the festivities at one of the many year-round outdoor festivals.
