Six Flags Magic Mountain
For thrill-seekers who relish unabashed screaming and churning stomachs, Magic Mountain is Mecca. The X coaster, one of 16 roller coasters in the park, has riders hanging over the sides as it speeds along at 76 mph. (You'll be holding onto your stomach, as well as your hat.) Other coasters include Déjà vu, the world's tallest and fastest suspended looping boomerang coaster; Colossus, the West Coast's tallest wooden coaster; the Riddler's Revenge, where riders are standing while looping and twisting at speeds up to 65 mph; and Superman, The Escape, which flies at speeds of up to 100 mph. There's fun for junior thrill-seekers, too. Goliath, Jr. and the Canyon Blaster are coasters designed for smaller daredevils. And Bugs Bunny World offers 17 rides and attractions that will keep the smaller ones entertained as well. As with other amusement parks, Magic Mountain offers plenty of rides for the less-adventurous crowd, as well as a variety of shows, shops, and eateries to make a well-rounded experience for all the fun lovers in your family.
