Warner Bros. VIP Studio Tour

Lights! Camera! Action! Unlike studio tours with attractions specifically created for tourists, this working studio is the genuine article. Not only does it house the actual sets from classic movies and TV shows, such as Casablanca and Bonanza, it’s also a beehive of current activity. At any given time, production companies can be found on the lot shooting popular television shows, such as Friends, ER, and The West Wing.

The VIP Tour of the studio begins with a short documentary about the films and TV shows made by Warner Bros. Then it’s off to the museum, which offers a retrospective of costumes, props, awards, and scripts. Next, you’ll visit backlot sets, craft and production shops, and sound stages. Because this is a working studio, you’ll see various creative people in action, including actors, directors, and the various craftspeople who make film production possible. It’s not uncommon for lot visitors to see the filming of a series or sight a celebrity. Each day is different on the lot, and the tour route changes according to filming schdules, which makes each tour unique and unforgettable.

Location
Warner Bros. Studio is located in Burbank at 4301 West Olive. The entrance for the VIP Studio Tour is at Gate 3. Directions and a map can be found at the Warner Bros. Web site.

Hours of operation
The VIP Studio Tour is available Monday through Friday. From October to April, tours leave every hour between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. From May through September, tours leave every half-hour between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Admission $32 per person
• Group tours (12 or more) $28 per person

Special considerations

• The tour is 2 hours 15 minutes long, and is a combination of riding and walking.
• A photo ID is required for all adults upon registration.
• An adult must accompany all children between 8 and 17 years of age. Children younger than 8 years of age are not permitted.
• It is recommended that you arrive at Gate 3 at least 45 minutes before your tour.
• All guests will be screened by a metal detector before entry. No video cameras, large bags, or weapons of any kind are permitted.
