Hollywood Entertainment Museum
On display is a large-scale model of the city of Hollywood, circa 1945, including streets, buildings, street lights, and signs. In the telephone booths in the lobby of the museum, you can hear the pre-recorded voices of celebrities-Steven Spielberg talks about filmmaking, Jimmy Stewart discusses acting, or Orson Wells talks about money. In an interactive area, you can learn various filmmaking techniques; then try your hand at creating soundtracks for a small section of a movie, or learn about digital editing. The highlight of the museum, however, is the television and film sets that are on display. Visit the set from Cheers, including the bar, the wooden Indian, and Sam's office. And fans of all Star Trek voyages will delight in the Trekkie paraphernalia, including the actual "transporter," a real "Borg," Klingon statues, and the command bridge from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Location Parking is available in a nearby underground garage on the east side of Sycamore Avenue. The cost is $2 for two hours with museum validation. Hours of operation Cost
