Located on the Orlando campus of Florida Hospital, Florida Children's Hospital prides itself on providing a non-threatening environment for kids. Hospital corridors look like nature trails, live animals provide pet therapy, and the playroom is well stocked with games. Programs that address the anxieties related to being sick are available for patients as well as their families. Additionally, more than 12,000 children are treated each year in the Children's Emergency Center, an outpatient facility that functions 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
