The elegantly appointed Thornton Hospital is a general medical-surgical facility located on the campus of the University of California, San Diego, and adjacent to the Perlman Ambulatory Care Center. Named after philanthropists John M. and Sally B. Thornton, the 120-bed hospital opened in 1993.
