Morrison Planetarium Star Shows For a truly unique look at the heavens, visit the Morrison Planetarium, where a one-of-a-kind, specially designed star projector casts a field of 3,800 stars. The planetarium, part of the California Academy of Sciences, was named for Alexander Francis Morrison, a San Francisco attorney and philanthropist whose widow largely contributed to the funding of the planetarium. In addition to its star shows, the Morrison Planetarium offers a lecture series, musical concerts, and laser shows. Attending any event under the planetarium's 65-foot dome is spectacular entertainment and a great way to learn more about the universe. Location Hours of operation Admission
