Kaiser Permanente Medical Center provides primary care for Kaiser-insured patients in San Francisco (28 percent of the city's population) and tertiary care to 3 million Kaiser Permanente health-plan members in northern California. The Medical Center includes a 237-bed hospital and a 460,000-square-foot outpatient clinic building. A full range of patient services is provided, including specialty care and 24-hour emergency services.
