Virginia Mason Medical Center operates an acute-care, 272-bed hospital at its Seattle campus. More than 390 primary- and specialized-care physicians belong to the private, non-profit organization's multi-specialty group practice. VMMC's Bailey-Boushay House, a nursing residence and day health center, primarily serves AIDS patients.

The medical center also runs a network of clinics throughout Western Washington and researches diseases through the Virginia Mason Research Center.
